Summer is here, and while you may be glad school is over, you should use this time to start preparing for your first day in the new grade. If you want to make sure you’re ready for the next school year, The Tutoring Center in Oviedo will give you a few pointers on how to make sure you’re fit for the challenge.

How to Prepare for School after the Break

Get Your Materials

Make a list of all the supplies you’ll need and get it! This includes books, notebooks, pencils, pens, backpack and other school materials that will help you succeed when you get back.

Refresh

Make sure to re-read your notes before starting school so you aren’t caught off guard! During the new grade, you’ll be continuing where you left off, so you need to refresh your knowledge.

Rearrange the Sleeping Schedule

Summer break is about resting. However, this may result in a different sleeping schedule than when you’re in school. Make sure to gradually go back to it, so you aren’t tired the first day.

Prepare Everything

Your uniform or clothing needs to be clean and laid out. Your supplies need to be on your backpack, ready to go. This way, you won’t forget anything or be late on your first day.

Eat Well

Breakfast is an essential meal that can help you start your day (and your school year) right.  Have a balanced breakfast with a ton of protein, so you’re ready to take on the challenge.

Start School Right

This is your blank slate. Even if you didn’t do so well before, you have a chance to do better. Do all the homework, take organized notes, study on a daily basis, and don’t get behind!

Bring the Best Attitude!

The first day back can be stressful: you wonder what your teachers will be like, how hard the subjects will be, etc. Still, remember to be confident and have the best attitude to start right!
